Adobong Dilaw

A delicious and colorful version of Adobo. 🔥 A guaranteed dinner favorite! 😋

 

There are many variations of our favorite stew. This Adobong Dilaw is pork adobo version that does not use soy sauce. Instead, it uses Lasa's Turmeric Powder ✨

INGREDIENTS 

  • 1 tbsp canola oil

  • 1 onion, peeled and sliced

  • 1 head garlic, peeled and minced

  • 2 tsp Lasa's Turmeric Powder

  • 500g, pork cubes, cut into 2-inch 

  • 200g, pork belly, cut into 2-inch 

  • 1 cup vinegar

  • 1 1/2 water

  • 2 bay leaves

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Spring onions

 

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a pot over medium heat, heat oil.

  2. Add onions, garlic, and Lasa's Turmeric Powder and cook until softened.

  3. Add pork and cook, stirring occasionally, until lightly seared and evenly colored with turmeric. Deglaze with water if needed.

  4. Season with salt and pepper.

  5. Add vinegar and bring to a boil. Cook, uncovered and without stirring, for about 4 to 5 minutes.

  6. Add water and bay leaves. Continue to cook for about 2 to 3 minutes.

  7. Lower heat, cover and cook for about 50 minutes to 1 hour or until pork is fork-tender and sauce is reduced.

  8. Serve hot with a cup of rice.
