This classic North African and Middle Eastern dish can be eaten anytime of the day, from breakfast to dinner. The dish is vegetarian and is made with simple, healthy ingredients. Shakshuka literally means “a mixture”. If you're following a keto diet, but love comfort food just as much, this is perfect for you. Best of all, it truly couldn’t be easier to make.

Shakshuka is really just eggs poached in a tomato sauce. The sauce is built up from layers of aromatics and ingredients, but is essentially a very simple sauce that requires few ingredients. There’s different variations of this dish, but for me there’s some what I like to call ‘non-negotiable’ ingredients that I feel bring out the best in a Shakshuka.


 1 tbsp Oil

2 tbsp onion

1 tbsp garlic

1 tsp under the sea

1 tsp salt

1 cup tomato sauce

2 eggs



1. In a pan, heat oil saute onion and garlic. 

2. Season with Under the Sea and salt

3. Add tomato sauce

4. Crack in two eggs. 

5. Let simmer for 6-8 mins
